Madhubani is a traditional art that originates from the Madhubani district in the State of Bihar, India. Originally this kind of artwork was painted on the walls depicting stories of Rama and Sita and various other Hindu Gods and Goddesses.
The modern Madhubani Art is now painted on handmade and recycled paper, canvas and clothes and depicts also scenes from nature (animals, plants, trees, sun and moon etc).
